Jasper National Park

Jasper is the largest park in the Canadian Rockies.  Jasper is wild in every sense of the word.  It is home to some of North America's healthiest populations of grizzly bears, moose and elk.  The park was established in 1907.

Checking into the park...each person needs a park pass

Columbia Icefield is the largest reservoir of snow and ice in the Rockies and feeds three of the continent's major river systems.  Straddling the borders of Alberta and British Columbia, the icefield comprises 64,250 acres of crystal-blue glacial ice and snow.

Almost three-quarters of the park's highest peaks are located nearby

The Icefields Parkway has been called one of the world's most scenic drives

We are staying at Whistler's Provincial Park near Jasper.  This will be our first and you need your park passes to stay there.  Each person in your park is required to have a valid national parks pass and we each have a Discovery Pass for unlimited access to all the national parks in Canada for the next two years.
