 shopping area for the tourists

 on Cow Bay

Lunch at Smiles.....oh yes....Halibut

Two days in Prince Rupert......with rain....but we are in a rain forest.....enjoyed every minute of it....low 50's......

Interesting to know that with the start of the Alaska State Ferry system in 1963, Prince Rupert's place as an important visitor center and terminal point for highway, rail and marine transportation was assured.
Prince Rupert is the second major deep-sea port on Canada's west coast, exporting grain, lumber and other resources to Europe and Asia.
All the action for tourists is on Cow Bay.....the waterfront.....with the cow colors......Tourists....fishing and fishing products.....and manufacturing of forest products....that is what Prince Rupert is about...  Glad we made the trip!!!!!
