Whitehorse

Whitehorse is the capitol of the Yukon Territory.  We are in town to number ONE wash the coach and truck.  In fact, we washed both before we parked in our site at Pioneer RV Park.

The plane was mounted on a rotating pedestal in 1981
and acts as a weathervane, pointing its nose into the wind

built in 1929.....largest vessel on the Yukon


ran aground in 1939 and the salvaged parts were used 
to construct a new ship....completed in 2005


Whitehorse Rapids Fishway
The fish ladder was built in 1959 to provide access for chinook (king) salmon above the Yukon Energy Corporation hydroelectric dam.  It is the largest wooden fish ladder in the world


They count, measure each fish


They determine what kind they are and sex


and if they are a wild or hatch fish

We have been on the road for 3 months and have traveled 6,357 miles in the coach......Very few days in the 70's......lately the 50's........
