South on Cassiar Highway

We had to drive to the Liard River Bridge to get cell service......this is a big day for us as we are turning over the keys to new owners....it has sold!!!!!
And, of course, the Captain needed to visit with the agent.....

Back to Cassiar Highway for 450 miles

 Cassiar Highway completed in 1972

 an all-season road

Evidence of 2010 and 2012 wildfires

lighting started forest fire...burned more than 30,000 hectares

 only Caribou we saw

Snow covered Cassiar mountains

 Outstanding scenery

but narrow with little or no shoulders

easy curves and some long straight stretches

 some color...low 50's today

Jade City is not a city but a highway community

made up of one jade business .....Caravan has stopped and it's busy

 Needlepoint Mountain

 Dease Lake

 Looks like construction

Follow Me...chip and seal the road

 Stikane River Bridge

The river flows 330 miles to the Eastern Passage in Alaska

Going up Gnat Pass (Summit 4,072 feet)

 Where are the moose

 Where are the Bears

 No Cell service...no reservation

Know where the caravan is staying....where are we staying
